Hope Centre Services - Logan

Hope Centre Services is a modern, dynamic non-for-profit enterprise that conducts life changing programs in various locations across the Greater Brisbane area. This innovative organisation began as CityCare in 1995 in Fortitude Valley in response to the issue of homelessness and to care for the many disadvantaged and marginalised.Our aim is to provide a multifaceted range of unique and compassionate services that offer hope and opportunity to those facing personal challenges and hardship. Our goal is to restore hope and dignity to people of all ages and from all walks of life who may be trapped in repressive habits or who may have experienced trauma or some other form of hardship or difficulty.

For Hope Centre Services, empowering people today means providing crisis care, individualised support, re-skilling, acquiring new life skills and assistance in finding employment.

At all of the Hope Centre Services programs, people are treated with honour and respect.

Hope Centre Services - Redcliffe

Hope Ventures (previously Hope Centre Services) has a program called 'Mimi's House' which works with disadvantaged pre-teens in the Moreton area.

Hope City Mission Inc

Hope City Mission was established in 2004, with the mandate to build healthy and strong communities by providing a safe place for people in financial hardship to receive support, education and hope for their current situation.

We empower change in people’s lives via drive thru and home delivery Emergency Food Relief, Financial Literacy and Life Skills online learning portal, Advocacy, WDP Fines Victoria program where those eligible can work of their fines debt through volunteering or educational workshops and Seasons of Hope 84+ vegetable garden.

We currently supporting over 525 individuals each month and in 2020 we distributed over $700,000 worth of food.

structural drivers of exclusion and disadvantage in our society and in turn promotes innovative policies and programs to support individual and community wellbeing and inclusion.

Hope For Our Children

Hope For Our Children's (HFOC) focus is on raising awareness and improving the plight of the foster child in the Darling Downs region. We strive to change a foster child’s life via multiple avenues, all of which offer love, support and hope to the children. In 2017, there were approximately 2000 children (from newborn to 18 years-of-age), in foster care in the Darling Downs region alone. This equates to ¼ of all of the foster children in Queensland. HFOC offers support to all of these children and their foster carers.
When a child is being removed (and entering the foster care system), the experience is often traumatic and leaves the child feeling helpless, distressed, anxious and of little self-worth. One of our proposed projects is to supply recently removed children with a backpack full of essentials (e.g. pyjamas, toothbrush, hairbrush etc). We believe this eases some of the trauma of removal which will make transitioning to foster care easier for the child.

Hope House

Provide medium term therapeutic rehabilitation accommodation through coordinated programs and education, assistance and support for homeless men who have addictions, mental health issues, in contact or at risk of being in contact with the justice system, victims or perpetrators of domestic violence or been beaten by life in general to help these men to re-engage with and become active contributing members of our community.

Hope Springs Therapeutic Community

Hope Springs is a 22-bed facility that operates under a Therapeutic Community model. It is a structured community where the whole person gets treated, both physically and mentally.
All activities are considered part of therapy and are directed towards assisting the person to develop their skills and identity and work toward managing their own recovery. Even the most fundamental necessities, such as laundry, cooking, maintenance, and office work can be therapeutic, and are also vital in developing essential life skills. In fact, work is one of the most distinctive components of the therapeutic community (TC) model.
The work hierarchy of the TC is integral to the functioning of the program and strengthens the peer community through the transmission of values such as community mindedness, right living and recovery. TC residents are responsible for the practical tasks that sustain the day-to-day operations of the community.

HopeLINK

HopeLINK uses a holistic approach to address the needs of people in the Gladstone community. We run a broad range of programs to support and empower people. We network with other community agencies to help strengthen the Gladstone community.
At HopeLINK we support, encourage and empower people to see past the challenges or hopelessness, to find the solutions required to meet their need, and to experience personal growth and development.

Horizon House - Bunbury

We provide accommodation and support to young people aged 16-22 years who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Independent living program for out of home youth. youth at risk of homelessness and/or homeless. Ages 16-22 years of age

Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Parkinson's Association Inc.

Our organisation provides support to people with Parkinson's disease. We conduct monthly meetings and weekly choir and exercise programmes.
We also have a craft group that meets fortnightly and a weekly walking group.
We produce a monthly newsletter and keep members aware of developments in the treatment and research into the disease.

Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Women's Shelter

Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Women’s Shelter provides safe, temporary accommodation for vulnerable women fleeing domestic violence or homelessness. Our support services assist women in crisis to create a better future.

Horse Whispering Youth Program Inc (HWYP)

Horse Whispering Youth Program (HWYP) was incorporated in 2011 and registered as a Charity in 2012. Our purpose is to help at risk youth learn to connect, trust, respect and cooperate with their significant others through developing healthier emotional control and behaviours that will better support them in living a safer, happier and more productive life.
We deliver an equine assisted early intervention program using the gentle art of horse whispering to build trust, rapport and stronger emotional connections between vulnerable young people and their support systems. The program is centered around animal behavioural therapy and aims to promote self-confidence and leadership skills for the young person.
We provide our youth program to not-for-profit organisations working with at risk youth in Logan, the Scenic Rim and the Gold Coast. These organisations include services for Youth & Family, Child Protection, Indigenous & Domestic Violence.

We are the hospital auxiliary and in the process of raising funds to build a sensory garden on our hospital site to be enjoyed by patients, residents, staff, visitors to our hospital and community members of Molong.

As a leading regional Tier 1 community housing provider we have a 30-year history of providing client-centred tenancy and property management services to the Central West and Western regions of NSW.

We are also unique within the NSW community housing sector in that, as a specialist homelessness and domestic and family violence service provider, we directly support individuals in regional areas into crisis, transitional and long-term stable housing, whether it be social, affordable, private rental or home-ownership markets.

Housing Plus - Central West Women's Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Service

Our domestic violence services provide support for women and children experiencing violence and abuse from a partner or ex-partner, another family member or someone close to them.
Our comprehensive range of services are provided at no charge and include: safety risk assessment, crisis and transitional accommodation, transport, safety planning, court support, information and referral, case management, community education and support to access victim’s compensation.

HUB Community Projects Inc

We provide community legal advice on a range of issues such as family law, domestic violence, youth legal service, and community legal education. We manage the Hub Neighbourhood Centre in Inala which provides community information, advice and referral services as well as a range of activities that support social connectedness in our community.

Human Nature

Human Nature is a youth mental health service with a mission to empower young people to navigate life’s challenges – transforming trauma and disadvantage into healing and growth.

We do it by listening to young people, meeting them where they are and walking alongside them on their mental health journey for as long as they need us.

We offer free individual and group mental health support programs that take place outside in nature or environments where the young person feels safe to open up. We tailor our sessions to each individual’s needs and we remove barriers such as cost, travel and the stigma associated with accessing support.

Hunter New England Mental Health Services is part of the Hunter New England Local Health District. We deliver a range of mental health inpatient services and community mental health care, from prevention and early intervention to treatment, rehabilitation and continuing care.
