Kurbingui Youth Development Ltd

Kurbingui Youth & Family Development Limited was established in 2001 primarily to provide and promote physical activities in the form of boxing as a means to developing strong, healthy and positive lifestyles for young people. Mr Syl Johns was the driving force behind this program, however he soon realised that there were more complex issues for these young people that required personal support and guidance. To address some of these issues, the “Yeaca Dhargo” Employment Program was born under the auspice of Mercy Family Services for the first year, and then transferred to the newly incorporated Kurbingui Youth Development Limited in 2001.

Kurnai Secondary College

Kurnai College is driven by the core values of ENGAGEMENT, EXCELLENCE, WORK ETHIC and RELATIONSHIPS. The College's stated purpose is "To build a learning community with a global perspective which promotes respect and achievement". The College has established programs in Advanced Learning, Mentoring, English as a Second Language, International Education, Peer Support and Student Leadership, Community Engagement, Transition, Careers and Pathways and Music. Teamwork is a central element in shaping and promoting improvement in the College with year level teams in years 7 to 10, and combined curriculum teams operate in years 11 and 12. Kurnai College continues to make Koorie inclusivity and intercultural learning a focus and an area for continued attention. Considerable emphasis and resources have been devoted to targeted professional learning for all staff.

Kurrajong Heights Bowling and Recreation Club Ltd

We are a community owned and managed Club. We have social bowls one morning and one afternoon per week. We also have a community dinner every Thursday evening where volunteers cook a healthy meal for an accessible price. It is also the home of the Bilpin Shed that meets there every Thursday afternoon. At present we have many repairs to the Club House, such as roof removal and repair, and our Green needs resurfacing. We have no paid staff - all grounds and Club maintenance are carried out by volunteers.

Kurranulla Aboriginal Corporation

Kurranulla Aboriginal Corporation (KAC) is not for profit organisation that incorporated on 21st November 1994 under the Aboriginal Councils and Associations Act 1976.

(KAC) is a drop in centre for local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community living in the Sutherland Shire and St George areas.

Kurranulla are dedicated to providing individually tailored and culturally appropriate services to Aboriginal and / or Torres Strait Islander within their communities.

Our vision is to strive for excellence and best practice in the provision of culturally appropriate services and quality care for all members in the community.

We service communities across South East Sydney, Inner West, St George and Sutherland Shire. We can help connect you to an NDIS or Aged Care Package.

All of our services are strengths based, person-centred and culturally safe.

We listen to what matters to you so that together, as a community, we improve our social and emotional wellbeing, connection and resilience.

Kutta Mulla Gorinna Special Assistance School

Kutta Mulla Gorinna School provides secondary schooling opportunities to those young people who are disengaged and alienated from the conventional school system. Our school places emphasis on understanding the essential features of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, including our special connection on the land and sea and our commitment to family and community, especially as it pertains to the lives of our students.

At the same time Kutta Mulla Gorinna School will welcome all students disengaged from schooling irrespective of their cultural background. We aim to ensure that students have an awareness of social justice principles and demonstrated respect for others.

Kwinana Early Years Services Inc. (KEYS)

KEYS is an organisation that is committed to advocating for the rights of the child and families; building on the strengths and capacities of families and the community; we empower parents to play the key role in raising their children; acknowledging the inter-generational nature of parenting issues; consulting with the community to work in an innovative and collaborative manner; promoting education as a means of breaking the poverty cycle; working in an innovative and creative manner. We provide service to meet the needs of the community through counselling, playgroups, workshops, parenting programs and one-on-one support.

Kyabram Community and Learning Centre Inc.

We are a socially inclusive learning organisation respectfully meeting the needs of the Kyabram region. We are a central hub for a range of valued community and support services. We facilitate, deliver and advocate for our families and individuals to develop personal and interpersonal skills to connect and empower our community.

Kyogle Family Support Services Neighbourhood Centre Inc.

We are a not for profit family support service. We network with other agencies to provide wrap around services for vulnerable clients.
We have increasing numbers of people accessing the service who are homeless due to DV, floods, limited housing and natural disasters.
Many people require food relief, toiletries, cooking utensils, tents, swags, camping equipment, sleeping bags so that they can have somewhere out of the weather to sleep as there is virtually no accommodation at caravan parks, motels, hotels etc. This is a recurring theme all through the Northern Rivers. When we ring Link2home clients cannot get help as there is no accommodation anywhere.
We also provide case management to families, early intervention programs, supported parenting groups.
Our hub includes a community garden, men's shed, hart transport and services Australia. we plan to have a daily soup kitchen up and running by next year. we also have the service the Aboriginal community of muli Muli.

Kyogle Together Inc.

Our service works with all ages and has a program that offers services for people experiencing marginalisation, all kinds of vulnerabilities and living within low socio-economic situations.

Lachlan and Western Regional Services Inc

Lachlan and Western Regional Services Inc is a not-for-profit, community-led organisation, that provides a broad range of services, training, and support, for the communities at the Heart of NSW.
Our mission is to empower and assist the disadvantaged to grow a sustainable regional community that is culturally, socially, and economically viable.

LADDERS

Logan Adolescent Drug Dependencies Early Response Service (LADDERS). This is free a service for young people aged 12-25 and their families/significant others who are experiencing problematic alcohol and other drug use. LADDERS aims to reduce the harms from alcohol and other drug use by offering a range of services in a friendly and non-judgemental space.

Laguna Public School

The only primary school in the Wollombi Valley. The students and their families have been affected by the bushfires in 2020 and this is now their 3rd flood in 2 years, and the most devastating in living memory.

Lake Joondalup Baptist Church

We provide a Christians against Poverty Debt Centre for the community. CAP assists families in the community that are in financial difficulty by liasing with creditors on their behalf, suggesting budgets and assisting them in keeping to the budgets. The Lake Joondalup Baptist Church also offers food vouchers and assistance wherever possible.

Lakes Entrance Neighbourhood House

We are a NFP. We run a weekly foodbank service for all members of our community requiring support, this includes material aid. Our service is run by one paid worker volunteers.

Lamp Inc

Lamp Inc has for over 20 years, successfully provided a high quality, not-for-profit, community based support services to consumers and carers with a diagnosed mental illness, their family and friends, living independently in the South West, Cape to Cape and the Warren Blackwood regions of Western Australia.
